Hero dad saves daughter in vicious dog attack
This dog’s savage attack was caught on camera, and so was the rescue as the victim’s dad heroically stepped in and saved the day.
Video shows the terrifying moment a pit bull mauled a 12-year-old girl and clamped down on her leg until her hero dad fought the dog off in a city outside Detroit, Michigan.
The incident happened in Lincoln Park when the nine-month-old dog got loose on September 13, WDIV reported.
Video shows the girl on her bicycle, as a dog came running up to her.
The dog then clamped down on her leg, keeping a hold as the girl‘s father came running over.

The dad began punching the dog in an attempt to stop it from biting his daughter.
The dog‘s owner then was seen running toward the incident as the pit bull kept a hold of the girl’s leg.
The owner was also seen hitting the dog, trying to get it off of the girl.
Finally, the dog was pulled off the 12-year-old‘s leg.
Tony Burgess‘ daughter, Emma, was rushed to the hospital, and given 35 stitches after the incident, WDIV reported.
Burgess said his “kids are afraid to play” outside.
The dad told WDIV that Lincoln Park Animal Control took the dog and quarantined it for several days – but the pit bull is now back home just a few houses down.
The dog‘s owner refused to comment on the incident.
“To me, the wounds on this child … to me or anybody in their right mind … that dog should not be sitting in that house right now,” Burgess told WDIV.
Burgess told the outlet he planned to file a police report on the incident on Friday.
