Grandmother’s horror injuries after dog attack in Adelaide

An Adelaide grandmother says she was grabbed and dragged to the ground during a vicious dog attack in the city’s suburbs.

A grandmother is reeling after being violently attacked by a dog while walking in a park in Adelaide’s north.

Lea Hockley was out for a stroll at Curtis Wetlands in suburban Munno Para when the incident took place.

“A big black dog just leapt out and grabbed me by the arm and dragged me to the ground,” she told Seven News.

I literally (had) to rip my arm out of the dog’s mouth … I’m just in shock, just can’t believe it.”

Ms Hockley claimed the woman who was walking the dog didn’t offer any assistance after the attack despite initialling trying to restrain the pet.

“(There was) no concern, no questions, no nothing,” she said about the other pet owner.

Ms Hockley’s own dog was uninjured in the attack.
