Goose falls in love, follows man‘s car down Nebraska road

We could understand a hunter stalking a goose, but one man has been left confused why he just couldn’t shake a bird who took a liking to his car.

A determined goose has followed a hunter’s car down the road in the US midwest, even staying behind to “guard” the vehicle as he went on his hunt.

Austin Johnson was driving down the road in Nebraska when he spotted the goose flying alongside his car last week.

“This goose has been following me for like five minutes now,” he said in the video posted to TikTok.

When he arrived at his destination and parked the car, Mr Johnson saw the goose had followed him the whole way.

“I’m gonna go sit in the treestand,” he tells the goose jokingly. “You stay here and guard the car.”

It’s dark by the time he returns, but the goose, and the car, are both still there.

“What are you doing?” Mr Johnson, exasperated, asks the goose. “Why? Come on …” he adds with a sigh.

He managed to lose the clingy goose on the highway headed home.
