Couple capture ‘evidence of Bigfoot’ walking in the mountains

Believers and sceptics alike are losing their minds over a new horrifying video of ‘Bigfoot’ walking in the mountains.

'Bigfoot' allegedly spotted in new video

A couple claim to have captured evidence of Bigfoot walking in the mountains.

Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Yeti, Yowie – whatever you call it, we have all heard the mystical tales of these elusive creatures roaming the earth.

While most of us dismiss the idea of a supremely hairy and terrifyingly tall apelike beast being something we need to worry about in our everyday lives, there are some out there that have dedicated their lives to finding Bigfoot.

These truth seekers exist on every corner of the globe and are united in their mission to obtain irrefutable proof that the creature exists.

Now, Bigfoot believers are convinced that a group of train passengers have captured a video of the mythical beast as they travelled past the San Juan National Forest in Colorado, USA.

In the now viral clip posted to Facebook, an unidentified being can be seen taking a leisurely stroll in thick of the rocky mountain terrain before squatting down and taking a rest, all in broad daylight.

The controversial video was captured by Shannon Parker, a 44-year-old contractor from Cheyenne, Wyoming, who, along with her husband, were overcome with excitement over what they had witnessed.

“It’s story time y’all! On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Stetson Tyler and I took the Narrow Gauge train ride from Durango to Silverton,” she wrote in the caption, alongside the footage.

“After leaving Silverton and heading back to Durango, I asked Stetson to help me look for elk in the mountains.

“As we are passing by the mountains, Stetson sees something moving and then says I think it’s Bigfoot. Brandon, the guy sitting next to Stetson on the train grabs his phone and starts recording.

“Meanwhile I am trying to get a photo on my camera. Below is the video Brandon @bt92.travels got and the photos I took.

“Y’all, out of the hundreds of people on the train, three or four of us actually saw, as Stetson says in the video, the ever elusive creature Bigfoot! I don’t know about y’all but We Believe!”

The clip has sparked fierce debate between Bigfoot believers and those who think it is just a human in a costume.

Ms Parker told Newsweek that it was a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” and that she had never seen anything else like it.

She said the responses have been “50/50” with some alleging that the sighting was staged by the train for publicity.

“When we spoke to the conductor on the train he told us he hasn’t ever seen anything like it before and he himself has experienced unexplainable things while snowshoeing in those mountains,” she said.

She later told the New York Post: ““It was at least six, seven feet or taller. It matched the sage in the mountains so much that he’s like camouflaged when crouching down…if you asked before our trip we would have said maybe [Bigfoot] could be real, but now we’re convinced.”

The legend of Bigfoot gained popularity in 1958, according to the Arizona State Museum, after a man created plaster casts of huge footprints he had discovered.

However, the story likely dates back much further.

“A Native American tradition in the Pacific Northwest tells of a giant hair-covered ogre named Tsonoqua who steals children and food,” the museum wrote.

“This is likely the origin of the Sasquatch or Bigfoot legend.”

Closer to home, the Yowie is one of several names for an Australian folklore entity that is reputed to live in the Outback and which has roots in the oral history of Aboriginal people.

Earlier this year, an incredible video that seemingly shows a Sasquatch darting through the woods of Mississippi in the US went viral, with some saying it’s the best footage of the creature ever captured.

The resurfaced clip was recorded by Josh Highcliffe, who posted it to YouTube back in 2015.

In a caption beneath the two-minute clip, Mr Highcliffe explained that he came across the creature ripping bark off a tree trunk and throwing it to the ground.
