Anger at TV presenter Melissa Bachman's trophy pictures of dead animals

AN American TV presenter has sparked a furious online backlash after she shot dead a lion and then boasted about it on Twitter.
Users condemned Melissa Bachman as "pathetic" after she posted a photo posing with the apparently dead male lion accompanied by the caption: "An incredible day hunting in South Africa!"

Ms Bachman is a keen trophy hunter. The co-host of the TV show Winchester's Deadly Passions has shared several photos with dead bears, deer and alligators on social media.
An online petition calling on the South African government to lock her out of the country has garnered more than 13,000 signatures.The backlash caused her to be dropped as a contestant for a National Geographic TV show.
