Star Wars uses the force of Tumblr

WORTH a Luke? Star Wars has just launched its official Tumblr page giving fans the chance to see movie goodies and lots of LOLs from R2-D2.

STAR Wars has trooped its way onto blogging site Tumblr and will be posting transmissions from a galaxy far, far away.

The movie franchise has been exploring the universe of social media and now adds blog posting to its Twitter and recent Instagram account. The announcement came via Twitter, which said it would be updating fans with "comics, clips and awesome Star Wars art".

You can expect to find content such as behind the scenes, concept art, gifs and character of the week as well as the promise "there won't be any cat videos…except maybe a nexu or two". As of yet, not much is up. All we kept getting was the error message: "impossible to see the future is. Check back soon, you should."

With a new instalment of the Star Wars series currently in the works this Tumblr page will be the perfect outlet for all the promotional hooey that will no doubt stir fans into an overexcited mess.
