World’s richest man Elon Musk mocks Jack Dorsey and Parag Agrawal with Stalin tweet
The world’s richest man Elon Musk has reacted to the resignation of Jack Dorsey as Twitter’s CEO with a savage meme of Joseph Stalin.
Elon Musk, Tesla CEO and the world’s richest man, has mocked Jack Dorsey and Twitter’s incoming CEO with a brutal Joseph Stalin meme.
Twitter co-founder Mr Dorsey, who himself has an estimated net worth of US$13.8billion, announced his resignation as the company’s CEO on Tuesday November 30.
Twitter’s chief technical officer Parag Agrawal was announced as his successor.
“I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders,” Mr Dorsey wrote in a statement.
“My trust in Parag as Twitter’s CEO is deep. His work over the past 10 years has been transformational. I’m deeply grateful for his skill, heart, and soul. It’s his time to lead,”
Mr Agrawal’s first major move was to announce that Twitter was revising its privacy policy to block the sharing of photos and videos of people without their consent.
Mr Musk, who has 65.1 million followers on Twitter, and is known for his erratic posts, took a swipe at Mr Dorsey and Mr Agrawal by recreating an infamous photo of Stalin with Nikolai Yezhov at the Moscow Canal.

Stalin’s “Great Purge”, a campaign of political repression in the Soviet Union from 1936 to 1938, was responsible for the deaths of about 1.2 million people.
Nikolai Yezhov, a secret police official, was executed in 1940.
Stalin attempted to wipe Yezhov from the historical record, even going so far as to remove him from a photo of the two men.
“Damnnnnn very dark humour here,” entrepreneur Ahmad Tariq wrote in response to Mr Musk’s tweet.
The Tesla CEO has a strong meme game. “Who controls the memes controls the universe,” he tweeted last year.

Last month he reposted a 28-year-old’s meme, which promptly sold as an NFT for about $20,000.
His memes in support of cryptocurrencies, particularly his favoured dogecoin, have helped the crypto skyrocket in price.
