The creator of the controversial Twitter account Libs of TikTok has revealed her face for the first time.

Chaya Raichik sat down with Fox News host Tucker Carlson during Wednesday’s episode Tucker Carlson Tonight, available to stream on Flash.

The Libs of TikTok account has been accused of posting anti-trans content and ridiculing LGBTI people. Raichik told Carlson the “LGBT community had become a cult” that “brainwashed people” and was “evil”. Comments which led to backlash online that she was “bigoted”.

On the program, Raichik explained her decision to finally go public.

Earlier this year, the real estate agent had been running her viral social media account anonymously until she claimed Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz “doxxed” her, an internet term for publishing private information about a person with malicious intent.

“I was doxxed, my name was shared, my location was shared, my photo was never shared though,” Raichik said.

Lorenz argued that Raichik’s identity was already publicly available information and her account had a “direct correlation” to legislation and rhetoric targeting the LGBTI community.

“I have never done any in-person events. And I am choosing to do that now because I feel like over the past few months, I have done so much,” Raichik said.

“I’ve helped educate people, I know that I’ve helped create legislation to tackle some of these issues. And I think I have done all I can. And I am ready for the next step.”

The Twitter influencer said after her identity was revealed, Florida’s Republican Governor and possible future presidential candidate Ron DeSantis had offered her to stay at a guesthouse at his mansion for her protection.

“I was almost in tears,” she said.

“He took time out of his extremely busy schedule to send someone to call me to make sure I’m safe.

“It was incredible, I don’t even have the words for it.”

Raichik accused of ‘bigotry’

Since its launch in 2020, Libs of TikTok has amassed 1.7 million followers on Twitter, with celebrities like podcaster Joe Rogan and US TV personality Meghan McCain praising the account for exposing instances of “wokeness”.

Raichik reposts videos from TikTok, often from transgender or LGBT people she claims are “grooming” children.

It’s controversial claims she repeated on Tucker Carlson.

Referring to the LGBTI community, she told the host: “They’re just evil. They’re bad people. They’re just evil people, and they want to groom kids. They’re recruiting”.

She continued by saying: “The LGBTQ community has become this cult and it’s so captivating, and it pulls people in so strongly, unlike anything we’ve ever seen”.

“And they brainwash people to join and they convince them of all of these things, and it’s really, really hard to get out of it.”

Brandon Wolf, a survivor of a mass shooting at the Pulse gay nightclub in Florida in 2016 that saw 49 mostly LGBTI shot to death said Raichik’s comments were “sick” and “bigoted”.

Lawyer and activist Alejandra Caraballo said her comments were “1970s level bigotry”.

“These bigots feel so emboldened to spew their hatred openly and incite violence against the LGBTQ community,” Caraballo added.

Joe Rogan is a fan

But Joe Rogan called the page “one of the greatest f**king accounts of all time”.

Raichik said that her work has gotten “about a dozen teachers fired” and caused the cancellations of a “handful” of drag shows.

In the past year, Libs of TikTok has faced issues with Twitter as the platform slapped Raichik with “hateful conduct” accusations and suspended the account multiple times.

Earlier this month, independent journalist Bari Weiss detailed how the popular social media account was targeted by Twitter executives.

In an image shared by Weiss, the Libs of TikTok account appeared to have a “Trends Blacklist” and had a red banner warning, “Do Not Take Action on User Without Consulting With SIP-PES”.

“Think high follower account, controversial,” a Twitter employee told Weiss of the types of accounts the secretive Site Integrity Policy, Policy Escalation Support team (SIP-PES) would handle. “There would be no ticket or anything” for these accounts, according to the employee.

Libs of TikTok was marked as “high profile” internally by Twitter.

According to Weiss, Raichik says Libs of TikTok was suspended six times in 2022, with the bans lasting as long as week, for purportedly violating the company’s policy against “hateful conduct”.

However, an internal SIP-PES missive from October 2022, discovered by Weiss, notes that Libs of TikTok “has not directly engaged in behaviour violative of the Hateful Conduct policy” since the account’s seventh suspension.

“The committee justified her suspensions internally by claiming her posts encouraged online harassment of ‘hospitals and medical providers’ by insinuating ‘that gender-affirming healthcare is equivalent to child abuse or grooming,’ Weiss found, noting that “No action was taken” on a November 2022 tweet that revealed Raichik’s home address.
