What a life: Meet a few of the rich heirs on Instagram making it on their own
THEY are young, privileged, and rich. And if their social media profiles are anything to go by, they are downright lucky, too.
THEY are young, privileged, and wealthy.
But these rich kids whose Instagram accounts are full of pictures most of us can only dream about also reckon they can make it on their own, too.
Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills star and heiress Dorothy Wang describes herself as “Funemployed and Fabuluxe!” and is heir to a $4bn shopping centre chain.
Her Instagram is full of pictures of her jetting around the world, and sipping champagne.
But Wang, whose father Roger founded the Golden Eagle International Group in Nanjin, is intent on making it on her own, which is why she’s starring in Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills to showcase her line of jewellery.
The 26-year-old told Business Insider she wants to carve out her own path in life.
“For me and my sister, when you have a parent who is so successful, it makes everyone kind of watch you a little closer,” she said.
“Even if you do something great, people assume it’s because my dad helped me or my dad paid for it.”
US fashion designer Ariana Rockefeller boasts impressive lineage and has a lifestyle to match, but also gives back.
Her Instagram and Facebook pages are filled with fashion shows and, of course, charity functions.
Rockefeller, whose Instagram account describes herself as a “Philanthropist, and Horse Girl”, graduated from Columbia University in 2011 before launching her own fashion label.
Virgin boss Holly Branson’s social media accounts also shows a privileged life, but the 32-year-old isn’t just a pretty face either.
The daughter of British billionaire Richard, Holly spent five years studying at London’s University College preparing to become a paediatrician.
Ms Branson announced in 2009 that she was following her father into the family business, The Daily Telegraph reported.
But when it comes to rich kids and privilege, none can compete with Paris Hilton.
The heiress to the Hilton Hotel chain not only posts her lavish life across social media, but that of her pets.
The reality star turned DJ’s high-end tastes for champagne and caviar extends to pets.
Recently, Hilton splashed out a mere $14,380 on a Pomeranian, pocket change for someone worth around $100 million, The Viant reported.
