Villawood home invasion: Violent robbery live streamed on Tik Tok

A violent home invasion that was broadcast live on TikTok has left a 33-year-old man in hospital in Sydney.

A man, who was live streaming on TikTok during a home invasion has been assaulted and taken to hospital in Sydney.

Police were called to the Koonoona Ave address at Villawood in Sydney’s west just after 11.30pm on Saturday following reports of a home invasion.

Police say a 33-year-old man answered a knock at the door and was then punched in the face, knocking him to the ground unconscious.

Two men, who were wearing balaclavas, raided the home and threatened the female tenant with a gun before stealing clothing and fleeing the scene.

NSW Police Acting Superintendent Glen Fitzgerald said the man had been live streaming on TikTok at the time of the attack and that is how police were alerted to the incident.

In the footage, a male voice can be heard saying “Where is the safe?” and “Where is the money?”

Another person can be heard calling out for a person named Wally.

One neighbour, who goes by the user name “cantfightfate14” also took to TikTok to record a video that showed another man watching the home invasion unfold.

“What the f*** is going on?” he said.

Paramedics took the man who was knocked unconscious to Liverpool Hospital, where he was treated for a laceration to his head.
