A female streamer has been chased by an intoxicated man while live on air.
Tanuki, who goes by the name crazy_japanese, is a partnered Twitch streamer and Japanese language teacher.
She often streams real life content from her base in Tokyo, Japan.
She recently collaborated with Korean streamer Hyubsama, with the duo visiting hotels and cooking meals.
During a recent stream, Tanuki visited Shibuya with streamers Hyubsama and Tonchan.
However things took a dark turn at a bar. Footage uploaded to Live Stream Fails shows Tanuki looking worried and leaving the area.
“What the f**k are you doing?” Hyubsama was heard asking Tanuki.
“You’re out of control,” Tanuki responded.
“You are so drunk. Drink more water,” she said.
She was then seen running away, apparently being chased.
“Stop, stop, stop, she said. “I’m streaming, stop. Don’t touch, stop.”
“No, no, no, I don’t want.”
“I’m going to get banned really,” she continued.
“Why?” Hyubsama asked.
“Because you’re chasing me,” she responded.
“You’re crazy. Just stay. Don’t chase me.”
“What am I doing?” Tanuki said as she walked away.
Moments later, he was seen behind her once again.
She continued to tell him to stop chasing her and to leave, and finally he did.
The distraught streamer began to cry in her room and explained to her chat how Hyubsama made her feel “unsafe” and “disrespected”, Dexerto reports.
Tanuki said, “I feel so stupid. What am I doing? My content is not about risking my life. My content is about travelling and education. So, let’s focus on that.”
Hyubsama also started streaming on his channel and later broke down in tears.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” he said.
It’s not the first time female streamers have been chased by drunk men in Tokyo.
Streamer Sushipotato was reportedly chased by a drunk shirtless man in August last year. The man accusing her of stealing his iPhone.
