This twisted alternate Friends ending will give you chills

A SERIOUSLY dark and twisted alternate ending to Friends is going viral. Be warned: you’ll never look at the show the same way again.

EMOTIONS ran high when Friends finally came to an end, but no one can deny it was a warm and well-rounded finish.

The apartment keys are on their tray, Ross and Rachel are finally back together, Joey is about to get a truly terrible spin-off that we’ll repress from our memories, and everyone’s off to Central Perk for a coffee. Lovely.

But if you weren’t satisfied with the way the show finished, fear not. One fan has just created an alternate ending so terrifying, you’ll be rocking back and forth in a dark corner with ‘Smelly Cat’ on repeat.

According to Twitter user @strnks, Phoebe - a homeless drug addict who slept in front of the famous Central Park fountain - was never actually part of the group, and the entire series was just her “meth-addled fantasy”.

Be warned: this will make you reconsider basically everything you thought you knew about life.

So there we have it. Phoebe was a homeless drug addict who just wanted friends. And everything about the fuzzy little sitcom that got you through the 90s was a lie.

If that didn’t give you the creeps, nothing will.
