IT was cool for a while but now the internet is getting sick of seeing the ice bucket challenge. Here’s how it’s responding.

IT’S hard to knock something that’s for charity but the Ice Bucket Challenge has got to a tipping point where the internet is sick of people clearly doing it for attention.

These douches, who wouldn’t even be able to tell you what ALS stands for (it’s Amytrophic lateral sclerosis, otherwise known as Motor Neurone Disease), have plagued our Facebook feeds and we’ve had enough. And it seems we’re not alone as the internet, while offering sweeping support for the charity, is now starting to grow weary of another fame-seeking z-lister jumping on the bandwagon.

We’re not bagging the cause, in fact it’s a terrific realisation of the power of social media for other charities out there, simply the saturation of “supporters” spamming the internet and fake fails trying shamelessly to get clicks. So how to vent against this social media overload? Simple: use social media.
