DESPITE his father’s warning not to put a glow stick in the microwave, this boy decided to try it and film the explosive consequences.

The boy, whose name is Jack according to the video, heats the glow stick in the microwave, then removes it and shows it to the camera just as the stick explodes.

The contents fly into his eyes and he cries out in pain, yelling for his father.

His father isn’t happy.

“I said don’t microwave it, don’t screw around and what do you do - with a beautiful shirt on - and you get it in your eyes.

“Can you ever listen?”

The boy rushes for the bathroom where he can be heard crying and flushing his eyes with water.

“I’m so sorry, Dad,” he moans.

The video is nearing a million views after it was uploaded on YouTube

Despite the horrible looking explosion, Jack has escaped without any major injury.

“Yes, Jack is fine and his eyes still work. But more importantly the beautiful, awesome shirt is alive and well too?” his brother posted on social media.
