A Sydney man’s hilarious warning to fellow outdoor enthusiasts about a group of approaching police has gone viral.

The video showing the man paragliding over an outdoor reserve, delivering a message that a police patrol was on its way before floating off has so far amassed millions of views.

“The cops are coming, the police are coming, the police are coming up the hill,” the man can be heard exclaiming before swooping off in the opposite direction.

The video, titled “Warning from the sky - lockdown vibes” was uploaded to TikTok by user Kenny Sads late last month and was tagged that it was filmed on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Since its upload, it has been viewed over 8.7 million times, liked by 1.6 millions people as well as attracting tens of thousands more comments and shares.

No one in the video appears to be breaking the government’s stay-at-home orders, with residents allowed outdoors for exercise and recreation, provided they stay within 10kms of their homes.

The video comes as NSW Police this week issued a fresh warning that they were conducting high-visibility patrols to enforce public health orders.

Police said they were stepping up patrols to ensure compliance with isolation orders, the mandated wearing of masks and the use of QR codes in an effort to stem Sydney’s delta variant outbreak.

Police said that on Saturday alone they were called to over 1800 Covid-related jobs and issued 454 penalty infringement notices.
