Social media giant Snapchat working on fix after users locked out
Snapchat is scrambling for a solution after thousands of users worldwide were unable to access the platform this morning.
Hundreds of thousands of Australian Snapchat users have been unable to log-on on Friday morning with the social media giant reporting they were aware of an outage.
The company said it was receiving reports of users being unable to log into their accounts and was working on a solution.
“We‘re aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from logging in. Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a fix!” Snapchat said on its Twitter account.

The company has about 293 million daily users who use the platform to send self-deleting messages and images.
Since 9am (AEST), thousands of users had reported having trouble accessing the app, according to downdetector.com, which monitors technological outages.
