A BRITISH schoolgirl who ran away to Syria to join Islamic State has tweeted her anger at her militant husband after their ginger kitten went missing.
A BRITISH schoolgirl who ran away to Syria and to join Islamic State has fallen out with her jihadist husband in a fight over their kitten.
Sixteen-year-old Zahra Halane, from Chorlton, Manchester and her twin sister Salma ran away in June to join the Islamic State in Syria, where they married militants.
They were following in the footsteps of their brother, believed to be fighting with Al Shabaab militants in Somalia.
However, Zahra appears to have fallen out with her new husband after their ginger kitten went missing after he put it outside.
The former schoolgirl shows her young age in a series of irate Tweets at her Islamist husband, saying the kitten had ‘disappeared’ after her husband threw it outside.
She posted a picture of the ginger and white kitten, laying on what appears to be a man dressed in a camo T-shirt.

Her anger over her missing pet popped up incongruously on her Twitter account, in between photos of herself wearing a burka and firing machine guns.
The ginger kitten is named Abu Hureyra after an ancient site in Raqqa, Syria, a town that has become and Islamic State hotbed and is near where US journalist James Foley was beheaded. Raqqa is now home to a number of young British girls who travelled to Syria to join Islamic State, reports The Huffington Post.
The twins are the daughter of Somali refugees to the UK, and were excellent students who planned to become doctors before becoming radicalised over the internet.
Their parents have travelled to Syria in a failed attempt to bring them home.
