‘Not sure how it got on our page’: ACT Police red-faced after accidentally retweeting porn

ACT police have been left red-cheeked after their Twitter account re-tweeted pornographic photos.

The tweets date back to the start of December.

The @ACTPolicing account followed up a series of messages about safe and enjoyable celebrations of New Year’s Eve with the promotion of a tweet by ‘Katie Sanders’.

Her message said: “One good thing about winter ... these boots! #ThonglessThursday” and included three photos of a woman naked but for a pair of black furry boots.

The original tweet which has since been deleted.

It caused some confusion among ACT Policing’s followers.

Police later deleted the nude photos from their feed and apologised.

There are more messages by Katie Sanders containing nude photos on the ACT Policing’s favourited tweets page.

A number of tweets from the same account appeared in ACT Police’s favourites.

The tweets date back to the start of December.

Twitter users were urging ACT Police to check its favourites.
