Nine News Melbourne reporter Lana Murphy apologises after gaffe goes to air
A Melbourne news reporter has apologised after a mistake went to air, but she’s inadvertently summed up how many feel about the situation.
A Melbourne news reporter has apologised after the wrong prerecorded piece to camera was sent to air during the city’s evening bulletin.
“F**k my life,” Nine News reporter Lana Murphy said shortly after stumbling over her words, in a common mistake that none outside the network’s newsroom would have known about if it wasn’t inadvertently aired by the station.
Thanks for the love friends & apologies to those who got more than they bargained for on @9NewsMelb. Unfortunately the wrong version (clearly) of a pre-record made it to air but thankfully I have a great boss and Iâll be back on your screens tomorrow. 2020 though am I right? ð¤·ð¼ââï¸

Ms Murphy appears to have taken the mistake in her stride and apologised to viewers “who got more than they bargained for”.
She also followed up with the clincher that many could relate to, writing: “2020 though am I right?”
Support flowed for the reporter on social media.

Ms Murphy credited her “great boss” for not making an overly big deal about the issue and promised to be back on Melbourne viewers’ screens again tomorrow as the state copes with stage four lockdown restrictions in an attempt to lower coronavirus transmission.
