New York State Trooper: The art of taking a mugshot
SHE looks harmless enough, but Eleanor Black is anything but an innocent party. In fact, she’s sticking it to you. Quite literally.
THERE’S a new page in the dodgy mugshot folder.
Eleanor Black’s face has been plastered on ‘Wanted’ poster after she failed to appear in court.
She is pictured poking out her tongue to authorities with a cheeky glint in her eye — and it’s a look that has the internet talking.
The mug shot was part of ‘Warrant Wednesday’, a weekly listing of New York’s most wanted.
With the picture being shared around the world, it’s unlikely she’ll be in hiding for long.
But she’s far from the first to have a stand-out mugshot.
State Trooper Mark Cepiel told news.com.au it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
“We’ve had mugshots where people refuse to cooperate.
“Literally the troopers are standing there holding them.”
Cepiel reckons he’s seen it all in his two-decade service with the Troopers; criminals who are so intoxicated they can’t keep their balance, eyes “so droopy” they can’t see straight.
Then there are those who want time to do their make-up, in order make a memorable mugshot.
But, “as long as it’s a clear photo of the person, which would enable anyone later on to identify the person, then that’s really what we’re looking for,” he said.
Could that explain these disasters?
