Man to Obama: Don’t touch my girlfriend

AS LEADER of the free world, Barack Obama is used to copping a bit of stick.
But his encounter with voters in his home state of Illinois proved the man is one cool cucumber when it comes to dealing with the public in all kinds of situations.
The President was casting his ballot in Chicago during early voting for the 2014 midterm elections, when a man identified as Mike Jones said “Don’t touch my girlfriend”.
While most world leaders would probably squirm in embarrassment or laugh it off, Obama was nothing but cool as he replied “I really wasn’t planning on it”.
The woman on the left, Aia Cooper laughs and says “I am sorry, please excuse him.”
Proving he can have a laugh at his own expense, Obama then said it was just an example of a “brother just embarrassing me for no reason.”

As the voting continues an amused Ms Cooper reveals she knew he would say something, she just didn’t know what.
Obama jokes the couple would be talking about their encounter later and turns to Ms Cooper before asking for a kiss.
“You’re gonna kiss me, give him something to talk about,” Obama said.
“Now he’s really jealous.”
As for the couple’s encounter with the POTUS, Ms Cooper told CNN she was a little shocked and embarrassed by her boyfriend’s response and was initially reluctant to stand next to him while casting her vote.
“I was just shaking,” she said. “I was like, ‘do I have to stand there? I don’t really want to stand there,’”
Ms Cooper even joked she may even invite Mr Obama to their future wedding.
“I wanna meet Michelle”, Ms Cooper said. “Hopefully she doesn’t think anything about me, but I really want to meet her.”
The YouTube video has received more than 609,000 views since going online yesterday, with most social media users full of praise for the President’s cool response.
One YouTube user posted: “That was beautiful, “Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend”. What a way to launch into the public light. He will be making all of the news circuits within the next few day, making millions of dollars. Good job capitalising off of an unplanned opportunity. Got to love it, hehehehhehehehehhehehehehe.”
Another YouTube user said: “The guy must have thought that Obama was Bill Clinton”
The Twittersphere was equally as amused at the President’s cool response.
