Known as Don, the Kiwi man was asked to spell the word ‘yes’ which he could spell as ‘Y-E-S’.

But when he was asked to spell the word ‘eyes’, he became confused, and started spelling the word as ‘E-YES’.

His friend Jeanette Manu posted a video of him trying to spelling the word on Facebook, which has had more than 700,000 views and counting.

His simple error sparked a reaction worldwide, as viewers left their comments.

One person wrote: “How much for a selfie with Don? Can he autograph for me? E-yes.”

Another wrote: “This is the funniest thing ever!!!”
