Harry Carr-Davies, 11, and his little brother Charlie, 9, recently gave an interview to a children’s TV program in Britain, discussing what their unexpected online popularity means to them. They also appeared on popular breakfast show Good Morning Britain, where Charlie in particular seemed nonchalant about his fame.
In the original video, toddler Harry Carr-Davies is seen sitting with his baby brother Charlie on his lap, when he is taken by surprise by a sneaky bite to the finger. Their father Howard uploaded the footage to YouTube to share with the brothers’ godfather, who lives in America. However it quickly became viral and has since been viewed more than 800 million times.
Harry is more lighthearted about the clip — and his injured dignity — telling the children’s TV show watching the video now makes him laugh.
Charlie says he doesn’t find it embarrassing but said: “I think it’s a bit odd that loads of people have watched it.”
Their parents have since made thousands of dollars from advertising and sponsorship deals generated by the clip.
The boys video, according to the children’s show, has had more views than Taylor Swift, One Direction and Adele.
In the years since the video was shot, Harry and Charlie have added two younger brothers to the mix. It is thought by the time those two are a bit older, the video will have been viewed one billion times.
