John Oliver talks New Year’s Eve disappointment on last show of 2014

WE ALL know it and think it, but Last Week Tonight host and all around awesome guy John Oliver has spoken about the annual disappointment that is New Year’s Eve.

“NEW Year’s Eve is the worst”.

There you have it — someone has finally said what we all think and it’s none other than Last Week Tonight host John Oliver.

In an end of show rant he related New Year’s Eve to the death of pet.

“New Year’s Eve is like the death of a pet, you know it’s going to happen but somehow you’re never really prepared for how awful it is,” Oliver said.

As usual he bought about many valid points including how the night combines “three of the least pleasant things known to mankind; forced interaction with strangers, being cold drunk and tired.”

In his wise words of wisdom he offers this sage piece of advice: “Best thing you can do is avoid the whole evening” and to not spend the night at a strip club unless Ebola goes airborne and the only cure is glitter.
