ISIS Karaoke hilariously mocks terrorist group through song
IT’S not often a person can transform conflict into comedy, but one savvy social media account has done just that. Get ready for a giggle.
IT’S not often a person can transform conflict into comedy, but one savvy social media account has done just that.
A Twitter parody by the name of @isis_karaoke has done the unthinkable by turning the horror that is the terrorist cell, pairing it with various pictures of Islamic State jihadists holding a microphone ... and adding pop lyrics.
Because if anyone can achieve world peace, it’s the Vengaboys, or the B52s, or even Katy Perry.
“I thought the idea of terrorists singing pop songs was amusing, and I got bored of constantly hearing about ISIS,” the account’s creator, 32-year-old Jimmy, told news.com.au.
IS bans music in controlled territories in Iraq and Syria, and apparently haven’t quite caught on to the new craze. Jimmy hasn’t received feedback from jihadists, but said “I will when they eventually catch on”.
“I hope that ITV turn the account into a rubbish show,” he said.
The account was created on August 16 and in just over one week has scored a huge following — 20,000 by our last count.
