IS busted for using ‘porn image in propaganda tweet’
THERE’S an old rule on social media, be careful what you tweet. So perhaps someone should have told the propaganda team at IS when someone tweeted this.
THERE’S an old rule on social media, be careful what you tweet.
So perhaps someone should have been kind enough to pass that on to the propaganda team at IS headquarters when someone tweeted this particular post which caught the eye of US officials.
The November 18 post, which supposedly shows the “abuse of Muslim woman by soldiers” isn’t quite what it seems.
The tweet, posted with the words #IslamicState is the SOLE SAVIOUR of millions of Sunni Muslims against Iraqi-Syria Army butchers, soon caught the attention of US authorities which were quick to point out an image was actually taken from a porn film, The Independentreported.
The US State Department accused the militant group of trying to fool social media users with the poster which claims it is the sole saviour of millions of Sunni Muslims.
.@Dawla__accountt The middle photo is taken from Hungarian porn. Stop using fake photos to âtrickâ people into supporting your lost cause.

The Think Again Turn Away account, run by US officials, is often quick to jump on IS propaganda claims but this tweet generated quite a few comments — for various reasons.
@Dawla__accountt keep trying to fool the world..idiot

@ThinkAgain_DOS Our State Department knows its Hungarian adult entertainment. Take that ISIS and other associated terror groups.

But while some users agreed with the post, others asked how the US department was aware of the image’s background.
dude, @ThinkAgain_DOS it's really weird that you know so much about hungarian porn. @Dawla__accountt
