High There: The Tinder of weed
UPSETTING your date when they learn you’re a stoner will soon be a thing of the past thanks to a new dating app aimed at those who love to toke.
A COLORADO-based start-up has made things easier for stoners looking to get those special sparks ignited.
And no, we’re not referring to the sparks that light a doobie ... we are talking about the sparks that fly when you find that special someone.
A new dating app, High There, is hoping to make dating a stress-free experience for those who enjoy smoking weed.
The premise behind the “Tinder of weed” is to create a place for like-minded smokers to meet up.
Creator Todd Mitchem said he made the app after matches on competition dating sites were put off by the fact that he loved the wacky tobacky.
“We wanted to build a cool piece of technology that solved the problem of where do million and millions of cannabis consumers go to meet people, connect with people and build relationships,” he told Mashable.
“A lot of people say we’re the Tinder of weed, but that’s only one facet of the whole thing. It’s so much bigger.”
Before they can start browsing members of the fairer gender, users must input some basic profile information.
Questions the app asks relate to how users like to consume weed, how they react under the influence and what they are in the mood to do.
Once this data is collected, users can swipe through profiles and chat with matches.
The app is only available in the 23 American states where marijuana is already legal in some form.
This means Aussie smokers will have to keep dating Mary Jane, move to the US or run the risk of upsetting potential suitors.
