FROM battling substance abuse to pursuing a career doing what he loves, Nasir Sobhani has turned his whole life around.

Nasir followed his hairdressing passion after spending some time in rehab.

He’s the man behind ‘The Streets Barber Stories’ — a heartwarming video series showing how Nasir is able to connect with his clients on a personal level, and offers them some extra support.

“The idea for the series was an obvious one, as Nasir’s humanitarian work offers so much potential,” creative director Vidad Narayan said.

So when he’s not working at the barber shop, Nasir is on the street helping those less fortunate by giving them a free haircut.

“Nasir is a captivating, passionate individual with a unique ability to generate a safe space for people to share their at times confronting journeys,” Narayan continued.

The most recent story featured in the video series is Aaron’s — another man who has overcome struggles with substance abuse.

Nasir used to bump into Aaron “back in the day” and offer him haircuts, but Aaron would always reply “next time!”

But after recently bumping into Aaron again, Nasir said his attitude to life seemed completely changed.
