Google worker accidentally exposes their credit card details in McDonald’s drive-through
The driver of a Google Street View car accidentally captured their own bank card details in a McDonald’s drive-through and broadcast them to the world.
An eagle-eyed TikTok user has spotted a Google Street View driver using their credit card at a McDonald’s drive-through.
The TikTok account googlemapsfun shared the moment a hungry Google worker paid at the window of the Poppleton store in York, in the UK.
The video begins with the user moving the cursor on Google Maps onto the drive-through lane of the McDonald’s restaurant before following the cars ahead of it, Escapereported.
While dragging the cursor into the drive-through, the user spotted the moment the driver paid for their food with their credit card.
By zooming in on the transaction, the faint outline of the bank card’s numbers could be seen.
The video was shared on the TikTok account last month with the caption: “Google leaking their credit card at McDonald’s.”
“Imagine ordering a sneaky McDonald’s and you get caught because a Street View car is right behind you,” one viewer wrote in a comment.
“I’d have to move countries,” someone else said.
“And now their bosses know as it is stuck on Google Maps forever. Bet they regret nipping in for a burger now,” a third said.
The video has been viewed more than 3.7 million times and has received close to 600 comments.
