Chinese food blogger reportedly stabbed to death in Nepal market

A Chinese food blogger was allegedly stabbed to death by a rival as he live streamed from a market.

A food blogger was reportedly stabbed to death by a rival as he was livestreaming.

Chinese blogger Gan, who went by the name “Fatty Goes to Africa” online, was apparently ambushed in a market in Kathmandu, Nepal on December 4.

The 20-year-old, who introduces global foods to his audience online, was filming in Kathmandu, Nepal, with his entourage.

He has around five million followers.

As he walked through an open air market, Gan was busy chatting both with the camera on him and on the small shops he was passing.

A scream can then be heard and the phone appears to tumbles to the floor.

Another video showed Gan with blood on his face.

Local media has said that Gan was stabbed in the chest and abdomen during the attack and died later that day after efforts to save him failed.

One of Gan’s friends was also stabbed but was successfully treated.
