Aldi employee Christian walks old man home
It was a simple act of kindness by a young man that has the world applauding and fostered an unlikely friendship.
Samantha-Jayne Brady put up a photo of a stock assistant from Aldi walking home an elderly resident and posted it on her Facebook, the result? More thank a quarter of a million likes, a Gofundme campaign and worldwide acclaim for the stock assistant Christian Trouesdale from Manchester, England.
The picture is of Christian walking, hand in hand, with 95-year-old Bob Molloy.
“The support has been insane, there are so many messages from all over the world flooding in and it’s a beautiful thing to be a witness to,” Ms Brady told news.com.au
“I didn’t know Christian or his lovely parents before but I’m glad I do now. They are a wonderful family and I think this story shows how well he’s been brought up” she said.
Ms Brady was with a friend when they saw Christian and Bob, her friend took the photo which she later posted on Facebook. Why did they take the photo to begin with?
“It shocked us because it’s a rarity these days, too many people are in a hurry and forget the older generation.”
“Christian is a perfect example of how to treat people, he’s inspired and also uplifted a lot of spirits with this one kind act he did out of good nature.”
