Is the couplie in the frame to be this year's selfie?
OH NO, it's happening again. Is the couplie taking over as this year's selfie? Looks like we're all gonna need longer arms (and more friends).

Yes, we have a new word to get used to and it's even more cringe-worthy. Pictures with a significant other, otherwise known as 'couplies', are showing a more sharing, caring side to online self-shots with the #Couplie hashtag seeing a 140% rise in usage.

Further evidence comes from an online greetings card company, One4all, which allows people to upload their pictures and put them on the front of a card - 60% of all uploads were couple-style photos.
Is this the start of a new craze? Will you be pulling strangers into your shots? With Valentine's Day around the corner we can expect to see the #couplie term come out in force.
