Google suffers outage as Gmail, Drive, Hangouts go down
Many people rely on Google’s services to organise their lives as well as run their business, but they’re having trouble this morning.
Several of tech giant Google’s services that people rely on for business as well as personal organisation and entertainment appear to be suffering from outages on Friday morning.
According to complaint aggregator DownDetector, Google users began reporting problems shortly after 11am on Friday morning, with a huge spike in reports and complaints, exceeding 1000 in a shot span of time.

Google’s Gmail, Calendar, Hangouts, Keep, and the Play Store for apps on Android were all reportedly having difficulties.
Google-owned YouTube also struggled, as well as the home automation company Nest that it also owns.
Google has been contacted to see what the problem is.
