How to secure your webcam in the simplest, cheapest way possible
HACKERS could be watching you through your webcam as you read this. Secure your privacy in this simple, cheap and easy way.
DO you ever feel like you're being watched? Well, your webcam could be used by hackers to watch you right now. Worrying, isn't it? Here's how to get secure and private and all it'll cost is the price of a Post-It note.
The conspiracy theorists in tin foil hats were right all along after news emerged the FBI created software that allows them to spy on people through their webcams. While it was used with good intention to capture a suspected terrorist, it does leave us looking at that tiny camera with unease.
But don't worry. There's a simple way to secure your webcam privacy and you don't even need any software. Just grab a Post-It note.
Mashable has created a Vine video showing a cheeky trick where you simply fold the piece of paper and stick it over your camera. Done.
I'll be on @FoxNews at 10:50AM ET talking about the FBI hacking webcams. https://t.co/aoJm4KoWFf

Of course, the best way to avoid anyone attempting to gain access to your computer is by not opening suspicious emails. These "phishing" emails like the ones that say "Hey, you've just won $10 million dollars!" are obviously a load of rubbish and contain a virus to access your computer that will activate when you open them.
Stay safe. Stay stocked with Post-It notes.
