WITH so much violence and hatred in the news, sometimes we need to hear something positive.

And this heartwarming video provides the perfect antidote to all the misery out there.

It documents the small, random acts of human kindness that happen across the world each day.

Even the people who simply help someone across the road are seen going the extra mile, with one driver screeching to a halt to assist an elderly pedestrian across an icy street.

In another thoughtful act, a motorcyclist stops his bike to help a blind man out of a cycle lane and on to a footpath.

Other everyday heroes in the video are filmed at work, going above and beyond their official duties. A policewoman gives a toddler mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, while two firefighters are seen giving oxygen to an injured kitten, in a clip that made viewers “watery-eyed”.

The LiveLeak compilation features several tear-jerking animal rescues, including one in which two men save a dog stranded in rushing water.

Later, an athlete is seen going so far as to half-carry an injured competitor over the finish line.

Some even risk their lives to help people, with a female train passenger jumping down on to the tracks to help a fallen man back to safety.

And it isn’t just adults caring for the world around them — a schoolboy is seen distributing snacks and soft drinks to homeless people.

The video, edited together by Gary Byrne, has had 50,000 views, proving that we still have an interest in seeing the good in humanity.
