Teen dead, another critical after horror crash on Melbourne freeway
A teenager has died and another is fighting for life after a car crashed into a car before rolling and hitting a power pole on a highway.
A teenager has died while another is fighting for life after a horror highway crash in Melbourne’s southeast.
A silver Audi and a Subaru station wagon crashed on the Princes Highway near Windermere Boulevard in Pakenham just after 4pm on Thursday.
The Audi rolled and hit a power pole and nearby trees following the collision.
A teenage boy in the front passenger seat of the Audi was taken to hospital, however he later died.
The Audi driver, also a teenage boy, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A teenage boy in the back seat was also taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The Subaru driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Police have received reports the Audi was seen driving erratically on the Princess Hwy before the crash, with an investigation launched into the circumstances of the incident.
Anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
