Jack Doherty crashes new McLaren while streaming
A young American streamer has been booted off the Kick platform after he smashed his $300,000 McLaren on a wet road.
Streamer Jack Doherty has crashed his $300,000 new McLaren 570S after losing control on a wet road.
He was reportedly streaming at the time and the footage appeared to show he was holding and looking at his phone before the crash.
The 20-year-old American YouTuber has since been banned from the platform Kick over the incident.
Doherty was reportedly reading the chat on his stream as he drove along the wet road listening to rap music.
He lost control and the vehicle aquaplaned into a barrier as he exclaimed: “Oh no!”
“Watch out, watch out … open the door,” he said.
“Holy sh*t. Holy f**king sh*it, no!”
“Bro, my whole car bro,” he continued as he looked at his ruined machine, which was decked out with a custom paintball gun splatter paint scheme and exhaust.
His passenger, identified as Michael, appeared to be bloodied in the vehicle as Doherty moaned about his totalled car.
Both men were later taken to hospital.
Doherty’s audience was reportedly 185,000 before he was booted off the Kick platform.
The streamer is a controversial figure and recently attracted criticism for hitting baseballs off the roof of a building.
