Man fighting for life and several others injured following horror crash in Brisbane
A forensic crash team is attending a multi-vehicle accident in Brisbane where one person is fighting for life and four others are injured.
A forensic crash team is investigating a multiple vehicle accident in Brisbane’s northern suburbs involving two trucks with four people injured and one man fighting for life
Paramedics were called at 7.14am to the accident, involved two trucks and two cars at the intersection of Gympie Arterial Road and Linkfield Road, Bald Hills, police said.
A Queensland Ambulance Service representative said four of the five people injured had been taken to hospital while a fifth person deemed critical, referring all inquiries about their condition to police.
All four patients, three men and one woman in her 40s, were taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with “minor injuries”, ranging from chest pain to head injuries and another person had been “ assessed” at the scene.
“A male in his twenties has minor injuries, another male has chest pain, a female in her forties has minor injuries and a male with a minor injury,” they said
“There was a fifth person who was assessed at the scene for critical injuries and inquiries for that person are being referred to police.”

A police media representative said the forensic crash unit was investigating and it would be several hours before the crash scene is cleared.
“It was initially reported as two trucks and four cars involved .. and it’s going to be while before the road is cleared,” they said.
Two-lanes have reopened and that has eased congestion, police said.
