A wild brawl has erupted between a group of men in Adelaide, with one man arming himself with a metal steering lock and another a nearby shop sign in an alleged road rage incident.

Footage obtained by 9News, shows the moment a man was seen running after a black ute on Prospect Road at Kilburn, in the city’s north, about 9pm on Friday.

Moments later, the man jumped into a blue Mazda, which continued to pursue the ute.

The driver of the ute eventually swerved out of the way to the opposite side of the road and signalled for the car to overtake him.

Instead, the Mazda stopped on the street before a man jumped out and kicked the ute.

As tensions rose, the ute driver jumped out of his vehicle armed with a metal steering lock.

The two men made their way to the footpath, where one picked up a sign belonging to a nearby hair salon.

As the two squared off, a third man joined the brawl, appearing to kick the ute driver from behind.

At one point in the footage, the driver is seen confronting two men.

“What are you doing hitting my car for?” the driver shouts.

“Look at my car! Look at my f***ing car.”

The commotion frightened hair salon owner Golda Pitia, who decided to lock herself and her client inside her shop.

“He ran back here and took my sign, and was using my sign to protect himself, it was really quick,” Ms Pitia told the outlet.

“I was like ‘what do we do, what do we do? I don’t want them coming in here’.”

Another worker from a nearby cafe said the incident was “pretty scary”.

“Down this road it’s very popular and there’s a lot of kids and families that do walk around this road,” Ali Hussian told the outlet.

It is not known what sparked the altercation.

South Australia police told news.com.au that the incident has not been reported, but the footage has been sent to the Traffic Services Branch for investigation.
