Boy, 10, in hospital with critical injuries after North Liverpool Rd crash
A boy is in hospital with critical injuries after he was struck by a car.
A boy is in hospital fighting for life after he was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services responded to the horror crash about 8.40am on North Liverpool Rd in Mount Pritchard in southwest Sydney.
Police officers responding to the scene were told the 10-year-old boy was hit by a Mercedes SUV.
Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before taking him to Westmead Childrens Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Ambulance said the boy suffered head, pelvic and leg injuries.
The police took the driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old woman, to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.
“A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced,” a NSW Police spokesman said.
A witness to the horror crash said the boy was on his way to school.
“I saw this lady, she hit the child on the road, he was going to school,” the witness said as reported by The Daily Mail.
