‘Back to school for you’: Frustrated motorists leave seven notes on poorly parked Jeep

Motorists were forced to take matters into their own hands when a Perth driver parked their Jeep in four car spaces at a Bunnings.

Bizarre road rules that carry big fines

A Western Australian driver is probably regretting their parking choices after fed up shoppers left about half a dozen notes on their car’s windscreen shaming their parking skills.

Photos that have since gone viral, show a Jeep parked across four parking spaces, at a Bunnings car park in the inner-city Perth suburb of Balcatta.

It appears the driver reversed too far back, with the SUV’s rear wheels crossing into two separate spaces because the car’s owner also managed to park too far over to the left.

The stunt forced other drivers to park elsewhere, with some drivers so enraged they scrambled for any writing material they could find, before constructing some brutal messages for the owner of the car.

“You are a f**kwit! Sh*t car,” one person wrote on a scrap piece of paper.

“Congratulations! You park like a f**kwit. Back to school for you,” another printed letter which featured a cartoon of children stacking alphabet blocks read.

Five other letters appeared on the car’s dash, with two scrawled on pieces of cardboard.

If the notes weren’t enough, photos of the car have since been shared on Facebook to expose the driver’s parking.

While it’s not clear why the Jeep’s owner decided to perform such a stunt, some viewers of the post assumed it’s because they didn’t want their car to get scratched.

One mischievous viewer said someone should have left a note apologising for the “damage” on their car.

“The best note to leave is ‘sorry I accidentally scratched your car. You probably won’t even notice it!’,” they wrote on Facebook.

“Of course you haven’t done anything. They won’t care about being shamed but they will care about something happening to their precious, precious car that needs four spots to avoid being damaged.”

Another person joked: “Oi leave him alone, poor thing probably just shat it’s gearbox right then and there”.

“Someone needs to put all the trolleys around the car,” a third person said.

A fourth post read: “It is a Jeep to be fair … he/she is probably being courteous in case it catches on fire.”

Meanwhile others were begging for information on where they can get the “back to school for you” notes.

“We all need a stash of those cards in our cars,” one woman said.

According to the City of Perth Parking Local Law 2017, drivers can only take up multiple car parks if their vehicle is too big to fit in one standard parking spot.

“A person must not stop or park a vehicle in a parking facility other than wholly within a parking bay or metered space if the parking facility has parking bays or metered spaces,” one of the rules in the document stated.

“(If) the City of Perth Parking Local Law 2017 vehicle is too wide or long to fit completely within a single parking bay or metered space … it must be parked within the minimum number of parking bays or metered spaces needed to park it.”
