A Porsche driver has been captured on the receiving end of a violent collision after executing a dangerous manoeuvre in Melbourne.

The luxury car was filmed by another vehicle’s dashcam on Friday just after 5pm as it pulled into a busy section of Victoria Parade in Collingwood, in the inner city.

Footage showed the driver turn into the middle lane of traffic where it was hit by a Toyota Corolla after not pausing to check for oncoming cars.

The Toyota surprisingly managed to avoid serious damage, but the same could not be said for a white Skoda that was travelling in the left lane slightly ahead of it.

After bumping into the Corolla, the Porsche’s front was forcefully shoved into the rear of the Skoda.

The white sedan, which seemed to be moving slowly at the time, was knocked into a partial spin before coming to a stop.

The bumper of the Porsche hit it so had that part of the metal on the driver’s side rear completely fell off.

Footage from the event was shared to the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page on Monday where it received a huge reaction.

More than 1400 people commented on the video, weighing in on who they thought was in the wrong.

“Did the Porsche driver even look right to double check? More money than sense,” one person wrote in a comment.

“Porsche driver had right of way. Just ask them,” someone else joked.

“Nice quality dashcam, you can see the Porsche driver isn’t even looking right as they turn.”

“Remember everyone, only leave a gap in traffic in a multi lane road if you have a dashcam like this to record the carnage,” a third wrote.

Many sympathised with the driver of the Skoda, who didn’t appear to have done anything wrong.

“I mostly feel sorry for the Skoda driver. Not only an innocent bystander but unlike the Corolla driver (no, I’m not blaming the Corolla), couldn’t see it coming,” one said.

Others made jokes suggesting the Porsche driver was out to get some insurance money.

Bystanders were shown running onto the road after the collision to check on the drivers.
