Dashcam captures moment car sent flying off road in violent Western Australian crash

A woman was lucky to survive a shocking highway crash, where her car was sent flying into the air before flipping repeatedly.

Heart-pounding dashcam video has captured a shocking high-speed crash on a Perth highway that left a woman with serious injuries.

The video shows a small red Hyundai quickly coming behind another vehicle on the Kwinana Fwy at Bibra Lake about 5.30pm on Saturday.

The Hyundai is then seen flying into the air after hitting the gutter, before rolling down the roadside as pieces of the car are thrown into air.

Nine News reported witnesses saw the woman crawl from the car with her head bleeding and complaining of abdominal pain.

The woman was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where was is in intensive care in a serious but stable condition.

No one else was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, nor were any other drivers injured, Nine News reports.

WA Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
