New US limousine comes fully armoured, with a fridge of President Donald Trump’s blood

PRESIDENT Trump has a new limousine. The heavily armoured ‘beast’ weighs 10 tonnes. It costs $2 million. And it comes with a fridge packed full of his blood.

US Presidents have a history of being shot. It’s something the Secret Service is well aware of. But the extent they’re prepared to go to in order to keep the Commander-in-Chief is evident in the new presidential Cadillac.

It’s a carefully designed, custom-made ‘beast’.

At nearly 10 tonnes, it’s little wonder that has become its nickname. Some 15 are on order to be scattered about the country, for Donald Trump’s convenience.

While all glossy chrome and black on the outside, the shine conceals a 20cm thick protective ‘wall’. It’s a composite array of steel, ceramic and kevlar armour plate, along with fireproof and shock-resistant materials.

The glass windows are 13cm thick — made up of layered glass and plastic, with each layer offering a different type of protection.

It’s also hermetically sealed — to rebuff chemical attacks. The tyres are flat-proof. The driver has a night vision system. Smoke canisters can be deployed to conceal it, and it can drop an oil slick to foil pursuit …

Every conceivable form of terror attack has been covered.

But it can’t protect the President once he steps outside.

However, if injured, Trump can be bundled back inside where an array of prepacked medical equipment can be put into play.

That includes blood transfusions from a fridge stacked full of his blood type.

Otherwise, its luxury interior is everything a discerning President would hope for.

It’s said to be able to seat seven — most of whom would be armed bodyguards. Then there’s the secure array of communications and electronics enabling the President to be just a button-press away from his nuclear arsenal.

Upgrading Presidential limousines appears to be a ‘thing’ at the moment.
