The classy, curvy concept is all smooth lines. The Prophecy has a similar short front end to other EVs such as the Tesla Model 3 and the Porsche Taycan, which take advantage of the space saved from the absence of a fossil-fuel powered engine and associated parts.

The front rolls into a continuous curve that goes from the base of the windscreen to the rear.

Hyundai says the styling assists with the vehicle’s aerodynamics, which are of particular importance to electric cars for saving energy and increasing range. This is highlighted by the wheels which have propeller-like spokes to help draw air along the body.

The Prophecy’s pixelated lights are made up of a cluster of tiny lights. Hyundai says that these lights will be a design feature on future models.

Hyundai has used the interior of the Prophecy to display its autonomous future. The roomy cabin is set out more like a living space than a car. The Prophecy makes use of its long wheelbase, typically enabled by electric cars thanks to the removal of several mechanical elements.

Hyundai has removed the steering wheel and instead replaced it with two handle-like joysticks. The dash is dominated by a screen that runs its entire width.

The cabin uses a variety of eco-friendly natural materials and there is also an air purifier and ambient lighting to make for a relaxing ride, Hyundai says.
