Tesla boss Elon Musk’s gruesome prediction claims flying cars could cut off your head

TESLA boss Elon Musk is usually at the forefront of emerging technology. But when it comes to flying cars, the billionaire businessman has a grim outlook.

TESLA boss Elon Musk has claimed flying cars could “guillotine” people if they ever get off the ground.

The billionaire businessman has once again expressed his dislike for the concept vehicles, slamming them as dangerous, reports The Sun.

Musk made his gruesome prediction while speaking at an event for another one of his ventures, The Boring Company.

The Tesla CEO thinks that lazy drivers who fail to service their motors could have a disastrous impact on people walking below.

He said: “There will be zillions of these things flying all over the place and, inevitably, somebody’s not going to service their car properly and they’re going to drop a hubcap and it’s going to guillotine somebody.”

Musk has previously shunned the idea of flying cars, claiming they aren’t a realistic option for the future.

He previously told Bloomberg: “Obviously, I like flying things. But it’s difficult to imagine the flying car becoming a scalable solution.

“Your anxiety level will not decrease as a result of things that weigh a lot buzzing around your head.”

A number of companies are currently in a race to become the first to produce a market-ready flying car, with some claiming they could be ready by next year.

Some motors are already being tested around the world with major names like Airbus, Audi and Porsche getting involved.

And a number of companies have even produced prototypes to finetune the technology before motorists can get behind the wheel — or wings.

This isn’t the first time Musk has issued a grim warning, with the Tesla and SpaceX founder talking about the risk of researching artificial intelligence across the world in April.

Musk, who stars in new documentary Do You Trust This Computer?, has described a future that many of us can’t even imagine.

In it, he painted a dire picture of the future.

“We are rapidly headed toward digital superintelligence that far exceeds any human, I think it’s pretty obvious,” Musk said.

“We have five years. I think digital superintelligence will happen in my lifetime, 100 per cent.”

He said that an immortal, robot-like dictator could rise from scientific research if strict regulations are not put in place.

He said this so-called dictator could have the power to rule mankind forever.

“If one company or small group of people manages to develop godlike superintelligence, they could take over the world,” Musk said in the film.

The entrepreneurial billionaire went on to say that the dictator would not even have to be evil to pose a threat.

“If AI has a goal and humanity just happens to be in the way, it will destroy humanity as a matter of course without even thinking about it. No hard feelings,” Musk said.

“It’s just like if we’re building a road and an ant hill happens to be in the way. We don’t hate ants, we’re just building a road. So, goodbye, ant hill.”
