MOVE over Eminem, there is a new rapper around. A machine-learning algorithm that can produce a pretty fresh verse based on famous rap lyrics.

Not many, but there is a machine-learning algorithm that can produce a pretty fresh verse.

Researchers at the University of Aalto in Finland recently created an artificial intelligence program, named DeepBeat, which can write its own rap songs.

The program works by analysing thousands of hip hop songs from more than 100 popular rappers.

By using the rhyming patterns and style from these tracks, the algorithm was able to create a flow of its own.

While it didn’t actually write anything from scratch, the algorithm was able to source words from the database and create lyrics that matched in style and topic.

Lead researcher Eric Malmi said the program was so effective that it outperformed some of the best rappers in the business.

“DeepBeat outperforms the top human rappers by 21% in terms of length and frequency of the rhymes in the produced lyrics,” he said

To prove the skills of his algorithm, Malmi included the lyrics to one of the songs in his research paper.
