Artist creates 151 Australian Pokemon using our very unique culture and wild life
CRIKEY! Have a look at that beautiful Sidnee — one of the 151 native Australian Pokemon created for a Pokedex of the land down under.
We all know the dingo, koala, wombat and Tasmanian devil are all native Australian animals, but have you ever wondered what Pokemon from the land down under would look like?
Well, all let us rejoice because an Australian Pokedex just found its way online.
The brain child of Geelong-based artist Paul Robertson, which was annotatied by Nib Oswald, offers a Pokdedex of 151 Pokemon based on Aussie culture.
Struth. What a time to be alive.
From the Big B and Big P (Big Bananna and Big Pineapple) to the Dunnee (outbox) to the Bogaan (Queenslander), the collection perfectly nailed Aussie culture.
But if you are like me, the first Aussie Pokemon you would try to capture are Longnecc (longneck beer), Chicko and Dimmee (Chicko Roll and Dim Sim), and Goonfish (cask of goon).
