World record TV binge watching attempt underway at CES
WE ALL love to slob out in front of the TV, but could you sit there for over three days straight? A world record binge is attempting to do just that.
IN what is probably the least exciting thing to see at this year's CES three contestants are attempting to break the Guinness Book World Record of binge TV watching.

The ambitious layabouts are holed up at one of the main exhibition halls of the Consumer Electronics Show with some comfy chairs, bags of Doritos and the help of TiVo, a digital video recording company that is staging the event.

The time to beat is the previous record of 86 hours and 37 minutes, which was set in 2012 by two Californians who watched only The Simpsons the entire time. During this latest attempt, the participants will only be allowed five minutes away from the TVs for every hour that they watch to go to the toilet, check their phone or just look away from the screen glaring in their face.

So far, they've taken on series of American Pickers, Agent SHIELD and Archer, and (at the time of writing) 28-hours in, they seem to be holding strong.
