Another 17 episodes of Arrested Development coming to Netflix
ARRESTED Development executive producer confirmed the cult television series will be going back into production.
IT has been on the cards for a while, but it appears everyone’s favourite dysfunctional family are set to return to our screens.
Talking on a recent podcast of Bill Simmons’ B.S. Report, one of the show’s executive producers, Brian Grazer, confirmed US comedy Arrested Development would be going back into production.
“I love Arrested Development. But it never — it was never a huge thing. But people are loyal to it, and we’re going to do another 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development,” he said.
Sadly, that is all the producer was willing to disclose leaving fans of the cult show longing for more details.
Netflix declined to comment at this time, but such minor details will do little to shake the enthusiasm of Arrested Development fans.
The cult television show ran for two and a half seasons from 2003 to 2006 on Fox.
A fourth season of the show premiered on Netflix in 2013 and speculation over more seasons or a movie have been running rampant ever since.
“I honestly think it will happen,” Netflix chief content Ted Sarandos told EW recently.
“[Series creator] Mitch Hurwitz is very excited about it. He has a great, great concept for the fifth season that the cast all loves.”
